Raul Amoros (born 1982) is an art historian, researcher, and visual artist. After his studies in Art Teaching (Academy of Belle Arts in Firenze) and Art History (Università degli Studi in Firenze), he obtained his Doctorate in Art History from the University of Ca’ Foscari Venezia and the University of Santiago di Compostela in 2022 (joint supervision). In 2025 he finished his certification (University of Macerata) to teach Art History at the high school level.

Raul’s research primarily focuses on contemporary art (new avant-garde, land art, entropy), teaching, and the pedagogy of art. He has published works in English, Spanish, and Italian in various international magazines. He has participated in conferences, workshops, and events as an exhibitor, speaker, and visiting professor in both Europe and Latin America. Raul actively collaborates with the following research groups:

  • RICAP (The Iberian-American Network for Participative Sciences)
  • RCAI (The Network of Argentinian Scientists in Italy)
  • SAR (Society for Artistic Research)
  • SARN (Swiss Artistic Research Network)

A sampling of Raul’s courses and research includes: DIGITARCH, Digital Collection Curator for Archaeology (Summer School, University of Bologna), The Educational Approach of Reggio Emilia (International Center Loris Malaguzzi of Reggio Emilia), Expert Academic Writing for Researchers (University of Salamanca), Use of the Tablet in Teaching, Educational Use of Interactive Whiteboards in Coding, Robotica Educativa Steam (IRSAF-Institute of Scientific Research for Advanced Formation). In addition, he has participated in the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility for Teaching program (Faculty of Belle Arts in Granada, Spain) and Staff Mobility for Training (Royal Academy of Art, The Hague, Netherlands and the University of Art and Design in Cluj-Napoca, Romania).

Other than teaching at the high school level in the province of Reggio Emilia, Raul has taught Pedagogy of Art (Academy of Belle Arts in Palermo), Educational Mediation for High School (Academy of Belle Arts in L’Aquila), and History of Contemporary Art Advanced Lab (Specialized School of Historic Artists at the University of Macerata). He currently teaches Education in Multimedia (Academy of Belle Arts in Carrara) and Technology of Education (Santa Giulia Academy in Brescia).
